Can geeky superhero Clark Kendall outwit an evil genius, save the world, and get the girl?
“What's the word, Clark?" Captain Marvelous's voice boomed through the cell phone. “Can humanity be saved?”
“Yes, sir. All we have to do is initiate the specialized hormone flux and Blossom's superpower gene will switch on. When that happens, she'll have full translocation powers.”
“And just how do we do that, son?”
“Well, Captain, the thing is… I mean, the only way this precise combination of hormones can be released is...um…”
“Clark! Spit it out, boy!”
His face flamed. “The only way for Blossom to access her superheroine talent isforhertohavea—” Clark glanced toward the librarian. The woman folded her arms across her chest and glared.
Half-turning, he cupped a hand around the phone. “She needs to have a sexual encounter, Captain. But not just any sexual encounter. She has to…um…finish. If you catch my meaning. Sir.”
A full ten seconds passed, in which nothing but dead silence poured through the phone. Then Captain Marvelous recovered.
“Clark,” he barked, “the fate of humanity is at stake. What in blue blazes are you waiting for? Get right on it.”
SUMMARY
The fate of the world rests in the hands of a geek...
When a computerized bomb threatens the world, Heroes Incorporated turns to its least likely superhero to save the day.
Supergeek Clark Kendall is humanity’s last hope for survival, but he can’t do the job alone. He needs the help of half-human/half-superheroine Blossom Breeze. Blossom doesn’t have a clue about her superheroine heritage. She’s smart, cute, and sassy—and so not into geeks.
Clark’s got three short days to trigger the unique cascade of sex hormones that will activate Blossom’s powers. Unfortunately for humanity, Clark’s superpowers don’t extend into the bedroom.
Or do they?
